Had the bike for just over a month now, so been using for winter road riding. So far very impressed with the bike, I've done over 150 miles, it's handled everything encountered on the roads. The electronic assist is extremely handy and powerful when needed. Would say excellent spec for the price.

Brilliant ride and good value for money compared to similar spec bikes

This is the second bike I’ve had from Avaris and after doing 200+ miles on the 2.3 and getting into road cycling during the summer months. I thought I’d try the Mountain bike. I was a little apprehensive about getting a mountain bike since it’s a completely different riding experience and terrain to road. I’ve truly enjoyed getting on the bike and I’m getting more adventurous the more I go out. The handling is smooth, and the battery gives a serious boost. I’m no bike expert but the bike seems good value compared to similar bikes on the market that are £ 3K plus. This bike certainly does everything I require for now. I may look at a full-suspension mountain bike in the future if I get more adventurous.

Been taking and testing this bike for a few months. I use it for leisure and for commuting, my commutes around 15miles some of which can be done off road which I usually always do unless it’s raining. I usually put it in the lowest on the assist on the way to work and assistance 3 on the way home. Hills are now a breeze and going riding at the weekends has become much more fun and much less strenuous. Would definitely recommend.

I’ve had so much fun riding this bike, very smooth, great brakes and built like a slender tank. Although a mountain bike I often use it to commute to work, since I don’t like riding road bikes and feel much more comfortable on a mountain bike. Strong assist too, I don’t use my car half as much now which is a big positive given the price of petrol!

3.6 avaris: I stopped cycling about 5 years ago to and from work because I couldn’t get back home because of the hills, missed cycling so much and hate driving, I kept looking for an electric road bike but they were so expensive 4-5000, seen this avaris @£1600 thought I’d give it a go at that price, even better I got it on cycle to work scheme with 40% savings, it’s a revelation for me now 10 miles in 35 minutes mostly uphill I can’t believe it , as others have said you do have to put it together when it arrives but took me longer to unpack than put together (handle bars +seat +pump tyres) yes it is heavy about 21kgs with lights /bottle / saddle bag compared to my trek, but I don’t notice it when riding,oh yes make sure you adjust the gears properly before a long ride, all in all very very pleased with it only one gripe no clock on the computer 😊👍

My Avaris 3.6 is fantastic. It is very similar in shape and size to my previous byke and the switch to an electric bike has been easy. As I am 75 years old now I can climb the steepest hills without damaging my knees but still use it as conventional bike if needed. The service I have received has also been good. I only wished the company stocked more spares as I could not find a replacement brake cover that had been nibled by a fox! (I know , it's a bit unuasual). I would definitly recommend purchasing this model.

Stylish, strong bike, had a few questions when putting together and before setting off, the team at Avaris helped out and were very informative. The assist is impressive and makes cycling much easier for me, enjoyed riding in the final summer evenings.

I’ve been really enjoying the Avaris Odysey bike roaming the hills in my area and I took it to Antur in Wales where it handled the trials nicely. The battery has a massive range, and the assist gives you a big boost when needed. Great service and bike, would definitely recommend Avaris bikes

Excellent helpful team who answered all my questions and made me feel confident about the purchase. Once the bike was received it was easy to put together. I bought this bike after lots of research comparing specs and budget against other bikes, since spending over £2K for a bike is a huge expense.

The bike arrived in 2 days and before 5-7 days lead stated. Was easy to assemble, just be careful which way you position the fork/mudguards, I attached them incorrectly the first time.

I never usually write reviews on products but the Avaris 2.3 Electric Assist Bike really deserves one, I am a 55 year old man who was well overweight and suffered with pain in my knee from various rugby injuries and a major operation. I have always enjoyed cycling but was struggling with the hills near me on my Forme gravel bike, after many hours looking at different reviews online I decided to take the plunge with an Avaris 2.3, that was 6 months ago and I can say I am very impressed with this bike, it does everything I could ask of it, assistance levels are good when needed and control panel is easy to use, the components are of a high standard. I did have some questions when I first used the bike but had really good help from customer services at Avaris. Overall I would recommend this bike to anyone looking for an assisted bike.

I previously had an Orbea road bike that I mainly used commuting and getting around Bristol. Decided to move to an eBike due to the benefits of the assisted power and being able to choose how much effort I need to put in, given my mood or situation on different days. Did some research and the reviews and price of the Avaris made me make the choice. Made the right decision, very pleased with the bike, definitely works as a commuter bike around the city, with everything required. Looks stylish, well built and so far has been great quality.

The bike arrived within a few days and was well packaged and easy to put together, all I needed to do was position the handlebars and screw on the peddles. I tweaked the derailleurs with help from Youtube since they are generally not perfect on bikes straight out of the box. When out on the road the bike performs and I've now taken it on some challenging rides and hills, the assist is great when needed, I only use it on hills, but it helps me keep up with my non-e-bike riding friends now, which made past riding not as enjoyable since I felt embarrassed at times trying to keep up. I would definitely recommend the bike and have now done 120+miles. The only thing is the battery bar fluctuates when being used, for example when you're using it on a hill it shows you have less battery than you actually have, and then it rises again when on a flat. I queried this and was told, the battery indicator tries to predict battery left on current usage. Overall, a fantastic bike that I'm looking forward to taking on many more adventures.
