You sent the wrong size wood 25x25 instead of 25x38, thought it was me until I checked my invoice, delivery man was very nice and helpful though.

I asked for a Friday afternoon delivery, but was told this could not be guaranteed and that someone wold call me to confirm the delivery time. However no one called so I waited in from 8;30am. At 5pm the delivery had still not arrived so I called to see if I would still be receiving it. The lady told me she would call me back but never did. So at 5;45 I called again, I was told it would defiantly be arriving. At 6;30 it finally arrived. Ill try Wicks next time...

Asked to write a review whilst still waiting for order!!! Ended up cancelling, heard nothing by way of an update and never contacted about order without having to chase myself. 11 days later still no order or contact. Awaiting refund

Failed to deliver first apparently the driver ran out of driving hours!? Then when i eventually got my order it was a mess! I'd ordered fully finished skirting and architrave but it was filthy dirty and soaking wet, as all the plastic packaging had been split and a number of lengths didn't even have any packaging they had clearly just been thrown on the back of a open flat bed truck. They might be okay at delivering rough sawn timber but for fully finished items steer well clear! you have been warned. Also to be fair I contacted them with my complaint with pictures and got NO reply at all. If I could have put the carpet fitters off then I wouldn't have used any of it I would have sent it all back! as it was I've fitted it and had to sand and paint a large portion which defeats the point of paying a premium for a fully finished product. Thanks for nothing Laver. Ian Martin

Ordering was simple enough and very fast response, so excellent online systema and great customer service. However it was let down when I went to collect the goods. Located easy enough was told to go outside and find Dave of old whoever. Waited for 20 mins no sign of anyone. Was told they're on a break at 12.20. Was told to wait until he loads the truck, waited another 20 mins and finally told they're cutting my wood. If the goods were ready why didn't they tell me this beforehand? In total I was there for 90mins. Very poor service at the pick up point and don't think I'll be going back. It's a pity as the service online was excellent.

Had to put poor due to poor communication, Given a long lead time by email so call to see what problem is, answer lengths of timber ordered not in stock, no problem what have you got in stock ok no problem change order, ahh you must email stock control. Did this and requested call back. NO Reply so call again. Timber has been ordered from a different branch so you will have to wait a week delivery may be Tuesday or wednesday. Then get a call should be Tuesday but you'll just have to sit about all day and wait in to see if it comes but if it doesn't it should come Wednesday. Will never order via the net again, looks like going back to jewsons next time. Total lack of communication When you've got jobs to do you cant sit about for days waiting to see if a delivery is coming

Placed order for timber and Lavers made contact and explained timber was out of stock but would be available within 3 working days. Waited a week and chased the material to be told awaiting supplier and would contact them for anticipated delivery date after which I would then be informed accordingly true to form no follow up call was received so I cancelled the order.

Good value for money and quick delivery. Unfortunately however the attitude and manner of the lorry driver/delivery man was terrible. I found him to be rude, unfriendly and extremely unhelpful. Worst of all, the gentleman would not step foot onto the premises beyond the front drive. This was really disappointing, especially as I had spoken to a member of Laver staff on the phone the week before and he had not mentioned this. It meant that my partner and I had to take time out of our working day in order to move the timber we had ordered into our garden. This is probably the worst experience with a deliver driver I have ever had. So disappointing that this happened otherwise this would have been a really positive review. As it is, I was stunned by the rudeness of whom I met.

Mr Donnelly, I would like to apologise on behalf of Laver Online for the attitude of our delivery personnel. I have forwarded your feedback onto the Depot Director who will investigate this matter further. In regards to the delivery of the goods, unfortunately, due to insurance guidelines, our delivery personnel are unable to enter private residences and, therefore, delivery is to the kerb-side only. This information is clearly stated in the Delivery/Collection Details on our website (http://www.laveronline.co.uk/delivery-collection-details-i5), a link to this information is also included in Order Confirmation email. "Due to insurance guidelines, delivery will be to kerb-side only. Delivery personnel are unable to enter private residences, so the recipient of the goods is responsible for any additional lifting once the initial delivery has been made."

Daniel, I have spoken with our Oldbury Depot and can confirm that we attempted to deliver your item on Monday 28th July, as arranged. Unfortunately no one was at the address to accept the delivery and despite our efforts to contact you on the day the item was returned to the supplier as per our Delivery Policy. This information can be found within our Delivery/Collection Policy section of our website. We feel this 1 star review is very harsh given that we had arranged and confirmed a delivery date with you but no one was available to accept the delivery.

Shocking! I had to chase my order to start even though I was told via email that I would be contacted within 1 to 2 days. I was told that the delivery might be Friday or the Tuesday?? Explained that I had to work and needed to know a date, very vague and said that he would phone me. He did phone me but said the supplier had not received his request so order would be later!! I was told that as soon as order was in that he would phone me to arrange delivery. Friday I got a call from the driver to say that he was waiting outside my house?? Luckily I was only 10 minutes away. Terrible customer services, felt sorry for the driver as it was not his fault.

I was telephoned and arrangements were made for the delivery, note goods already paid for, for Friday 30th May 2014, I waited in all day and made sure the road either side of my house was kept clear of cars with the help of my neighbours. Waited all day and no delivery or telephone call to warn me or explain. I phoned the Manchester office and spoke to Jackie, who was very efficient, and she called me back to re-arrange a delivery for next week. However, there was no explanation of why the delivery was not made. It appears it was loaded on the vehicle but the driver returned without making the drop, and there are no checks or stops in place to record this and it can happen without any contact to the customer. So when I was phoned to make other delivery arrangements I said I could not be home on Monday but Tuesday was fine, we agreed Tuesday. Yes you have gussed it, on Monday I was phoned on my mobile to ask why I wa not home to take the delivery. I reminded Jackie thatw e had made arrangement for Tuesday and she agreed but had only just remembered!!! How rubbish are you? I was assured thenext delivery will take place but obviously dealing with such an unprofessional company I will not believe it until it happens.

Mr Collett, We are very sorry to hear about the issues you suffered in regards to delivery of your order. Due to an administration error your order was not loaded onto our delivery vehicle as arranged, our delivery procedures would have highlighted this error if you were not to bring it to our attention. We are glad to hear Jackie was able to deal with the situation efficiently and it is our understanding that delivery has now been fulfilled. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Waited in all day for a delivery that didn't arrive. When I rang at 17.15 to see where it was - I was told that it wouldn't be delivered until the following day. They said someone should have let you know ! They didn't. When the wood finally arrived late the following day the driver was expected to off-load 84 planks by hand in the pouring rain. If I hadn't given him a hand it would have taken a very long time. Some of the wood was either warped or split.

Would not use again! Purchase went fine but down hill from there. After being promised my order within 5 to 10 days it is now nearly 3 weeks and I still haven't received anything despite MY phone calls to them, frustrating and disappointing

I've checked your order and it was for Grange Fencing Diamond Trellis. We are having major supply issues with fencing, along with every other supplier of fencing in the UK. due to demand outstripping supply. We apologise for the delay but feel that a 1* review is unfair as the problem is with the supplier.

Everything I ordered was unavailable for at least six weeks. How can I rate as anything but very poor. The only good thing was the speed I was informed about the unavailability with an apologetic phone call on Monday morning, BUT no follow up email to confirm the order has been cancelled. Peter Olley

We apologise for the fact that your ordered items were unavailable for six weeks but this was beyond our control and as a result of demand vastly outstripping supply. We also apologise for the fact that your order cancellation was not confirmed via email afterwards. We will look into this.

Purchased some timber online, later told that it is not available and was offered longer length that I have to cut myself. Tried to ring customer service but the phone was cut several times. Very disappointed. Wish I had never dealt with Laver at all!

Very poor service! Order made online on Saturday, 1st March. Nothing had arrived by the following Friday so rang local depot first thing to find out what was happening. Girl who answered could not trace order and had to promise to ring back. Eventually the order was found, and a promise of a delivery on the following Monday was made. I complained that 9 days was a very long time to wait but she claimed it was impossible to send before then, despite the fact that the ordered items are apparently in stock. No apology or explanation was offered. Waited in all day Monday with STILL no delivery. Rang again Tuesday morning and received timber that afternoon. Another day wasted. 10 days to receive stock timber and work arrangements seriously impaired. The common background noise from the Sheffield depot is giggling girls who are obviously not concentrating on their job. Extremely disappointed and tempted to go elsewhere next time I need an order. I arrived to pick up my order. I went to customer service they gave me a slip of paper and I was told to go to the yard and hand it to a workman, then when I received my goods I had to then go back to cs to book it out. I was stood outdoors for 45 mins in freezing temps whilst one of there workers went and searched for my goods, the weather was below zero so I was completely hacked off !

Thank you for you review and feedback. We are aware that this is an issue for the general public especially, and we are endeavouring to improve our facilities. Given the weather conditions, you should have been offered a warm drink and advised to wait in the customer service area. We apologise for the fact that the process took 45 minutes but the depots are often busy and waiting times increase as a result. Again, we are working to improve this.
