Cute and fun, a simple game but a great introduction to some neat mechanics. And there is a panda mini. Components in this game are lovely particularly at the price. Tile laying and enough options to score points that you can try different tactics. Family friendly strategy and oh so pretty!

Wow what a game. So beautiful and actually needs a lot of thinking too! Just ordered Chibis expansion pack.

Intuitive and fun game. Once you get the hang of it it’s quite competitive and easily replay able.

A great 'entry level' game that is suitable for all the family, our 6 year old loves the themes whilst older players will get more from the strategy side of the game.

Great game, beautiful, colourful artwork and detail on all the components. Easy to get to grips with after 1 or 2 games. Some (the older generations who we have played with) found it a little confusing and a bit overwhelming at first but soon got themselves into the flow. Occasionally, just my wife and i play, so it works well with two players as a quick evening game. More interesting with a party of 3 or 4 as it makes some of the tasks harder to acquire. The only discrepancy I've found is that everyone always seems to go for the panda task cards as they can be mid/high scoring cards which are too easy to obtain once you've got a good board down on the table. Other than that, we all love Takenoko and its got real good replayability as every game will always be different. Takenoko always makes an appearance on our monthly game nights.

Took a bit of time to read the instructions and explain to my group, but we enjoyed playing it. I love the design, very beautifully made. A great game for someone who is just into the board-gaming. Recommended!
