“Really enjoyable game - simple to learn and easy to play - ideal for a 45min session. My daughter who is 10 loves the gameplay and theme, we have played this a lot - in her words 'it's amazing." Also played this with a family of 4 players - the game scales well and is still fun and downtime is not too much as the player turns happen quickly.”

“Bought this for my son's 21st birthday - fitted perfectly with the Japanese/sushi theme. Competitively priced and arrived very quickly. A really fun game which is pretty relaxing to play. Enough luck to give me a slim chance at winning but my son definitely had the strategic upper hand! Definitely planning to keep practicing tho - can't beat a good family game night!”

“Takenoko has had a refresh to the components, so you may find a section of the insert where nothing fits. The upgrade tokens are now rings instead of chips to place. The rules have also slightly changed between V1 and V2. Details of the differences are available on boardgamegeek.”
