“I received a 2.5kg ham hock - much bigger than expected. I wanted to make broth with veg and ham. I cooked the hock in liquid in the oven and the stock it produced was so clear and full of flavour that apart from straining out the seasonings, I was able to use it as the 'broth'. Lots of meat used for more than soup. Have ordered the smoked hock this time.”
