“This steak was the only disappointing item in what was a large-ish order. It looked lovely, and we took great care in cooking it. We let both steaks get to room temperature and did one rare and one medium rare. They cooked beautifully and were nice and tender, but both were surprisingly tasteless. Such a shame because it is undoubtedly very high-quality meat.”

We’re pleased to hear the steaks cooked well and were tender, though naturally disappointed that you found them lacking in flavour. Sirloin can vary subtly depending on the individual animal and where it sits within the rib, though we dry-age all of our beef to develop depth and character.
