Mountain Dog are proudly the UK's Premier Dog Outfitter.
Established as a home-based business in 2017 when our border collie pup, Denver, joined the family. Since then our business has grown rapidly alongside this fluff ball who still acts as our ambassadog and chief tester of many products.

Today we have now served well over 150,000 customers and our business, whilst still small and family focused, occupies over 5000 square feet and is full of amazing dog products for the active and not so active pup alike.

“Unlike many purchasers of this harness who might want it to keep their dogs safe in difficult terrain, I bought it because my dog is older and arthritic. She uses a ramp for the car and the harness is ideal to support her on it and keep her safe. It slips over the head and does up without having to lift legs and the material underneath makes it comfortable when I'm taking some of her weight. As her arthritis progresses, I imagine she will need support more often and the harness is strong without being too cumbersome.”

“It’s a good harness for a reactive dog, the grab handle gives complete control in an emergency. Fits well, good adjustment. Padding is minimal however, as this is the budget version. I’m happy with it, it meets my requirements”

“I'm really pleased with the product - it's well made and fits my dog perfectly as there are enough straps to allow for a good adjustment. The best bit is it doesn't rub her under her front legs, like most harnesses do. The three different places to attach a leash also work well.”

“This is the first harness my Bichon Frize has not been able to pull out off. It is easy to fit and the sizing is excellent. The harness is light weight and I love the lift strap on the back.”

“Pretty happy with this harness. It is good quality but we are still tweaking the fit of the harness. My dog is a fairly slimbuild so the harness tends to ride forward, especially as we use the front leash loop to reduce his pulling (fairly effective). Hoping that as he matures he will fill out a bit and the harness will fit better.”

Thanks for your honest review, sometimes that great fit does elude us straight away. We always advise to try and fit with 1-2 fingers gap between body and strap, usually the second strap that is nearer the waist can adjust smaller stopping the pull forward you describe - another way top achieve this to lengthen the neck to put the whole harness further back on the dog. We are always here to help if you need it.
