The self-catering bungalow has been refurbished throughout. Access to the farm and dairy is restricted; however, chat with the owners, and they would be happy to show you around and even have a go at milking the cows!

Five of us stayed for 3 nights. Edwin was a courteous host and responded promptly to a few minor issues. The bungalow is spacious and in a quiet location between Penrith and Keswick, and good for accessing some key attractions. The hot tub was a great bonus. Minor niggles were that the main bedroom bed was not very comfortable (well, for me), and some of the kitchen items were rather worn out (especially the frying pan). But overall, we were happy staying at Mangahei.

Lovely bungalow in the middle of a farm, although we never saw or heard any animals apart from the cockerel who loved to wake everyone up early doors lol but we didn't mind that. very roomy inside and out with front views you can see for miles. Everything you need for your stay was inside the property. Hot tub was a lovely added extra (this is £100 on top of your holiday price).

Really spacious bungalow with a huge kitchen diner, a large lounge and 2 good sized bedrooms and one box room. Hot tub is great and a lovely big private garden for kids to play in Location is great, about 25-30 mins walk to a lovely pub in penruddock, 15 mins drive to either Keswick or Penrith Hosts are really friendly and helpful, Edwin responded to texts instantly when we needed anything and even showed my daughters the baby lambs Only a couple of things let the place down - garage door didn't lock and neither did internal door from garage but we felt safe enough as there was a group of us but this probably needs looking at. Hot water even in elec shower was a little erratic. That said given how heppful Edwin was when we text him I'm sure he'd have rectified these things if we'd asked him. Only minor negatives I'd give (and this may be a personal choice) is the place could do with a little updating in terms of decor. I understand it's a holiday let but a lick of paint, some brighter wall decorations etc would really lift the place. The kitchen was immaculately clean and well equipped but was quite dated, the glass in the cupboard doors was loose meaning it rattled when you open and close the doors which was a bit disturbing for the kids at night But despite the few minor negatives we'd definitely come back here for the large amount of space, the cleanliness and the location :-)

I recently had the pleasure of staying at mangehei bungalow nestled on the picturesque whitbarrow farm, and I must say, it was an absolutely delightful experience. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the serene surroundings and the warm hospitality of the farm owners. The bungalow itself was a haven of comfort and tranquillity. The spacious bedrooms were tastefully decorated, each offering a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The beds were incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep after a day of exploring the farm and its surroundings. One of the highlights of my stay was the breath-taking view from the bungalow's front windows. I spent countless hours sipping my morning coffee while taking in the panoramic vistas of rolling hills, lush green fields, and grazing farm animals. It was a truly rejuvenating experience, allowing me to reconnect with nature and escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. I must say, not much can compare to relaxing in the hot tub in the rear garden as the evening settled in. The farm itself was a treasure trove of activities and experiences. I had the opportunity to explore the vast grounds, taking leisurely walks along the well-maintained fields. The owners are extremely welcoming and accepting of everyone. The hospitality of the farm owners was truly exceptional. They went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable and memorable. Their attitude of never being able to do enough to provide for us anything we asked for or mentioned was above and beyond, making us feel like a welcomed guest rather than just a visitor. Another point to note is that proximity and easy access from the bungalow to the lake district national park including Keswick and penrith was more than we could ever have asked for. In conclusion, my time spent in the 3-bedroom bungalow on this farm was an absolute dream. The peaceful ambiance, stunning views, and genuine hospitality made it a perfect getaway. Whether you're seeking a serene retreat or an immersive farm experience, I highly recommend this hidden gem. I cannot wait to return and create more cherished memories in this idyllic setting.

As the hot tub didn't work properly and there was a big fly infestation in property is what let it down. Also large amounts of weeds growing through the block paving in seating area in garden and old garden chairs table. The property on a whole was good clean and spacious if these small things where put right I would pay a extra 200 but because of these things I feel should of got 200 back.
