The fabulous Pig Pod is designed with families in mind. A modern Glamping Pod complete with underfloor heating, mains electricity and plumbed in facilities plus stunning views overlooking Underbarrow and further to Scout Scar.

Situated within the Lake District National Park, High Gregg Hall Farm in Underbarrow is just 15-minutes drive from Windermere and 10-minutes from Kendal. A 5-minute walk away is the popular Black Labrador Pub, which offers fantastic food and a great choice of ales.

Measuring 3300mm W x 7200mm L x 2850mm, The Pig Pod is similar to the smaller pods apart from the addition of fitted children's bunk beds to the rear. A fantastic option for a relaxing getaway from the busy town or city life. After a day out exploring the Lake District of walking on the fells, return to relax on the patio with a glass of wine, or perhaps a BBQ. The Pig Pod has been expertly-built to provide high-quality furnishings and fittings that will provide for a fantastic stay.
Accommodation Summary

Double Bed with fabulously comfy pillows, shelf-storage and USB sockets for charging devices.
Children's fitted bunk beds to the rear of the Pod.
Sitting area with a sofa that lifts for additional storage, and a wall-mounted flat-screen TV with FreeSat. (The photos were taken prior to the TV installation).
Fold-away dining area for four.
Kitchen area with, Belfast-sink and mains water, 2-ring induction hob, microwave, Nespresso Coffee Machine, kettle, toaster and a fridge with freezer compartment.
Bathroom with basin and vanity cupboards, toilet, heated towel rail and a shower cubicle.

Things To Note

The rental price includes bed linen, towels and robes as well a complimentary tea, coffee, coffee pods, soap, shampoo and conditioner.
Short-breaks are available throughout the year, subject to a minimum of a two-night stay.
The bunk beds are suitable for children only, bed size 75cm x 190cm.
A travel cot can be provided if required.
One well-behaved dog is welcome for an additional cost of £10.00 per stay. Additional dogs by arrangement.
Currently, there is no WiFi, but this will be installed soon. There is a good 4G mobile signal.

“We had the most amazing stay! So relaxing! The pod was clean, had everything we needed and was so spacious! My husband, myself, my 2 boys and sausage dog stayed there for 2 nights and we couldn't fault a single thing. As we were packing to leave we were saying we couldn't wait to come back. The location is perfect. The farm is just amazing. My children loved the animals and it was so peaceful! Thank you for such a lovely stay! We genuinely can't wait to come back!”

“Had a 2 night break in The Pig Pod with my teenage son. The Pod was perfect, just as advertised. Lovely place to sit out on an evening surrounded by farm land and rolling hills. A really good welcome pack was also provided. Very convenient for Kendal, Bowness on Windermere and Ambleside, we got plenty of walking, shopping and site seeing packed into our 3 days.”

“We really enjoyed our stay. The pods are amazing. They are well kitted out, very comfortable, cost and warm. We didn't have the best weather while there but we were snug inside the pods. Everything you need is in the pod, from bed linen and towels, to shampoo and shower gel. The kitchen was even stocked with milk, OJ, coffee, butter, and bread, and we had a box of logs so we could have a fire outside. We will definitely stay here again. My children loved running around the green space outside the pod with their friends too. The site is very quite and we felt we had a lot of privacy. The only thing I could have done with was a long handled broom to sweep up the bits of grass my children kept bringing in on their shoes. We had a dustpan and brush but a long handled broom would have been really useful.”

“We stayed at the pig pod with our two children, every part of the stay was fantastic. The kids loved the bunk beds. The pod had everything we needed and we had a very comfortable stay. Would highly recommend and we will definitely be returning in the future.”

“Absolutely fantastic! The pod itself is beautiful perfect for a family and my three year old absolutely loved the bunk beds. The owners thought of everything, arrived to a box of chocolates, milk and butter in the fridge and lots of other little bits that just made the stay easier. Exceptionally clean. Beautiful location. Only thing that would of improved is Wi-Fi but that’s coming soon I believe. But phone signal was fine on the patio. Highly recommend and would definitely come again!”
