We enjoyed a lovely two night stay in the Pig Pod. Great location to enjoy a small corner of the Lake District. The Pod is clean, comfortable and has everything you need for a few nights. My children loved seeing the cows over the wall and the marshmallows in the welcome pack were gratefully received!

We enjoyed a recent weekend stay at the Pig pod to take our dog Obi away on his first adventure away from home! The Pig Pod could not have been more perfect! It was clean, cosy and extremely well-maintained with everything you could possibly need down to the beautiful food gifts and essentials left for us on the bed! The fairy lights at nighttime really added to the ambience and we loved seeing the cows and sheep in the morning. We couldn’t have been made to feel any more welcome. We enjoyed a walk to the Mortal Man and explored Grasmere as well as walking down to the very dog friendly Black Labrador pub. All in all, a truly perfect stay! Thank you so much for everything you did to make it so memorable.

We absolutely loved our stay - the pit pod is so cosy and perfect for our family of four. The only part that was a bit disappointing was the proximity to the closest pub: definitely more of a 10-15 min walk and along a very dark country road so not feasible to walk after dark (especially with kids). It was only a 2 min drive though so not a deal breaker!

Jane was very helpful and answered all my questions before we arrived. She went the extra mile and we were able to get in our pod early. The treats that greeted us was a welcome suprise as well as the pod feeling bigger than it looks. My boys loved the bunk beds and the view out the back window was an unexpected surprise. I loved watching the sunrise which the location allowed as its high up. My only very small piece of feedback was drying our towels on a rainy day. The heated towel rail either didn’t work or didn’t come on due to it being warmer.

My family and I had the most amazing time staying with you in The Pig Pod. We had never stayed in a glamping pod before and after this, we will definitely be back! The pod was immaculately clean and tidy and equipped with everything we needed from a box of matches to light the fire in the fire pit (wood provided), to card games and toiletries. Thank you so much. The only thing missing was the hot tub ( this wasn’t included in our stay) but after seeing the pods where the tub was included, our children have requested we book one of those!! We ate at The Black Labrador one night which was fantastic and BBQ’d the other nights. Highly recommend for a relaxing break, close to many sights and attractions in the area. Thank you!
