IQ Mobile is owned and operated by Peter Gradwell, a leading UK telecoms entrepreneur. His first business, Gradwell Communications, was founded in 1998 whilst at University in Aberystwyth and provides Cloud Telephony to over 20,000 UK small businesses.

In April 2020, Peter took over IQ Mobile, with a vision for a new type of mobile phone service that combines a high quality network, good value for money and a compelling offering that recognises the new more flexible, mobile way of working that so many of us are used too - but where we can also have a single phone device that respects our work/life balance.

Throughout 2020 and into 2021, we will be focused on innovating in the business mobile sector, adding Wifi Calling, 5G, Mobile Call Recording and other business class telephony features that the mobile world has long been looking for.

“So far has been very reliable touring around France over the past 2 weeks although rather data hungry is my only complaint I expect the competition will be along shortly .”

“I ordered a sim from IQ in early September with a view to buying 100gb to use in France over the next 3 weeks or so. The sim arrived promptly (at least as far as Royal Mail think is 'promptly') but I couldn't get it to install. I fell back on their WhatsApp problem solving service and they patiently tried to help, eventually getting me connected but at a pathetically slow speed. I then set off for France and tried to use the sim in Dorset and then in a series of locations down to the Loire. In every location the speed was excellent and I was able to watch TV at 720p, including. BBC iPlayer, through a Firestick. Absolutely perfect for my needs. Imagine my disappointment then, when I read today that iQ have been forced by their carrier to restrict EU roaming to 25gb. Hopefully they will be able to find a workaround as I don't really want the hassle of getting a local sim for future trips. Brexit? Huh!”

“The very best part of this purchase has been the customer service through WhatsApp from the lovely Frazer! He has always been highly responsive (replied to messages out of hours) and nursed me through my teething issues. The router and data I bought were specifically for my camper van and I was very grateful for his help whilst abroad. Wifi works well in the main once you have got your head around the set up procedure.”

“Worked seamlessly in France from Caen all the way to the Alps. I only used about 59gb of data in 3 weeks, however disappointed to learn they are now only allowing 25gb in EU when purchasing the IQ go. The whole point was f this sim was advertised for holidays. So will have to consider my options in future. I was just about to transfer my phone to them as well, but will again look at the options out there.”

“Using IQ abroad and it appears to work well . Had problems with a mifi system after the roaming initially wasn’t switched on . It worked fine in UK but when we crossed to France it switched to another network and needed data roaming switched on the router unit . IQ helped using whats app particularly Frazer . Big thank you . We needed to access our routers home page but it appears a well known search engine may have stopped us . We used a different browser and pasted in the link and switched roaming on in the router . Everything works great now. Data use age needs to be monitored abroad as it’s surprising how much you can use . Again IQ helped my data to suit my needs .”

“No eu data cap has worked brilliantly for us on our month long annual holiday to France. However I learned today that this will no longer be the case from 1st October 2024, fair usage will be implemented in the eu. Sadly, unless a solution by IQ is found we will no longer renew the yearly subscription.”
