“Bought to replace our Dyson DC50 as my wife (who has some mobility issues) was finding the Dyson a bit unwieldy especially when hoovering the stairs. Our priorities were light weight and ease of handling. The Halo meets (and exceeds) all our requirements in those areas. I knew we would have to accept that a cordless cleaner will not have the suction power of a corded machine, and this applies to the Halo. However, we have found the suction to be more than adequate (it will easily pick up a heavy doormat if you don't keep one foot on the mat as you clean it!) and the powered brush action is very effective in cleaning carpeted areas. The brush motor is not needed for hard floors (which is what we have everywhere in the house apart from bedrooms and stairs). The battery life is more than enough for a thorough hoovering of our two-bedroomed house without a recharge, although this brings me to one of the negatives - The battery is an integral part of the machine so you cannot swap out a discharged battery for extended run-times. Your only option is to stop and plug the thing in to recharge for a few hours. Having said that the charging status is clearly shown by the blue LEDs on the machine. In use the machine is very easy to operate. No need to keep your finger on the power button - press once to switch on, press again to switch off. Another button switches the power brush head on/off and a third button cycles through the three power levels. It easily swerves around the furniture, and it can be laid almost flat on the floor to reach under chairs, beds etc. As vacuum cleaners go, the Halo is fairly quiet (certainly nowhere near as loud as our corded Dyson). General pick-up of fluff and detritus is very good indeed. Overall we are very pleased with our purchase.”

“It's a great deal, getting all the bags, extra parts and the Capsule all together. I have arthritis and find vacuums generally heavy, but the Capsule is very light and very easy to use - the extra parts fit on very easily and smoothly and although I haven't had to discard the bag yet, I'm sure that process will be easy, too. I'm delighted with my purchase.”
