“Definitely a 'value for money' Wowcher offer! A very quirky hotel, set in amazing grounds with beautiful views. Our room, in the main house, was spacious, warm and comfortable with low lighting to set the mood. The 3 course dining was well cooked, although a limited choice. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble.”

“Unfortunately although the food was lovey, the attitude of some of the employees were extremely rude, unhelpful and our room was freezing. We brought this to the attention of the staff who did nothing to help, disbelieved us and did not provide any additional heating. I appreciate that there are health and safety rules but this was unbearable. One of the party is severely asthmatic and the other was suffering from a chest infection. So this certainly did not help. We tried the emergency number no answer and no one rang back. It was so cold that I had to sleep fully clothed. We know it was one of the coldest nights, but certainly was not acceptable. This really spoilt the celebration of a 60th birthday.”

“Hotel had a lot of character and room was lovely. No heater the first night, so was pretty cold, nobody on reception to report this. Evening meal was a very limited menu, and average. Same menu both nights. Breakfast was the best this hotel had to offer by far, amazing food, much nicer staff. There are lots of supplements on the menu, which made it feel a bit like a budget airline. Marco being my favourite chef, this made me a little sad as my expectations were pretty high.”

“i am disgusted with this hotel. A booking was made in total error through Wowcher. i contacted the hotel numerous times by email and had absolutely no reply. If we could have remade a booking for another time would have been ok with us but no one replied to our numerous emails. What bad manners, bad business and inconsiderate staff. The booking was made without us realising. We have a poor internet connection here in the countryside and we didn’t realise the booking had gone through until the money had been taken out of the bank. Shocking no one came back to us which says a lot for the type of hotel the Rudloe Arms. We are very angry and upset. John Orgee”

“Excellent value for money. A fabulous and unique hotel which was completely in keeping with the style of its celebrated owner, Marco-Pierre White. The decor is big, adult, and beautiful in nature but may not be appreciated by children or vegans/vegetarians(!). But I loved it! I highly recommend staying just for a totally different experience; there’s an array of lounges, stunning ‘one-off’ bedrooms, helpful staff throughout including the cheery chambermaids. The location was wonderful….at the bottom of the drive was the bus straight into Bath city centre. Last, but definitely not least, the food and drink was sublime! We’ll be returning asap.”

“Stayed Christmas Eve and Day. You would think that a gorgeous place, this is, would be full. This wasnt the case. When asking for a heater, we were told that the heating comes on at 6pm and to come back if we were still cold. We were advised that due to health & Safety reasons, heaters arent given out. We could only get warm, by staying under the covers. As for health and safety reasons, the long gravel path, leading up to the house, from the Treetops accomadation, isnt lit at all. The limited amount of staff are very pleasant, but there isnt enough of them. Stood at the bar, and waited 20 minutes to get a drink as no-one around. Could be such a gold mine if a few things were tweeked”
