“Beautiful bit of kit. Well constructed .First time out on it was a December morning . Temp was about 10 degrees and it was pretty warm with the inner lining. Yet to try out the mesh breathability in the summer months without the inner. Being black it’s going to be hot off the bike that’s for sure. I’m in love with the Merlin range. Such quality and they are British firm :u1F1EC::u1F1E7: UR are great to deal with and will price match so do your research.”

“Excellent jacket. I'm 5'8"/190lbs and the M is a good fit. The liner is easy to remove and will come in handy if there's a light summer rain. The armour is great and is barely noticeable when worn.”

“Watch UR video on You Tube, loved the look and sound of this jacket and the features it offers. Ordered it on a Sunday and it arrived at my door in the French Alps the following Wednesday morning. Fantastic service guys. Normally I’m large but went for medium on your recommendation and sizing was spot on, in fact it actually feels like it was tailor made for me. The jacket is super nice quality, mega comfortable and looks great on. I love the little details, like the colour coded studs in sleeves to make sure you put the arms of the liner in without twisting them. A lot of thought has gone into the design of this jacket but is not reflected in the price. £199 is an absolute bargain! Love the Cotec fabric, as even though it looks and feels the same, is so much nicer than traditional wax cotton as no smell or greasy residue. I can’t wait for lockdown to be eased so I can go try it out. I will definitely be using your site again”

“Really great fit, Urban Rider’s size chart is spot on. Merlin jackets tend to be slightly generous in size. So at 6 foot tall, 38 chest and 30 waist I was tempted to go for a medium but took Urban Rider’s advice and got a small which fitted perfectly. The detachable inner waterproof liner makes this jacket really flexible. It’s got great airflow for summer with the liner out but can also be used through spring and into autumn with the liner in place. I can’t think of another mesh jacket that has that adaptability. Excellent quality garment.”

“Purchased this jacket for the summer here in the Mid-Atlantic US. 90-100F (32-38C) and humid. It flows a lot of air. While nothing is really comfortable in that weather, this jacket offers a lot of protection for not much more heat than just a tee shirt would. It does so while offering an understated classic style. I expect to wear it late into the fall with the liner in. The only improvement that I would wish for is if it was offered in some color other than black,”

“This is a good looking jacket that is true to size. It is warm enough for a 30 minute commute at 6°c and above 15°c I remove the liner. Air flow through this heavy duty jacket is excellent and the protection superb. The only reason I dropped a star was because the liner is too bulky to put in any of the pockets, so if you ride a sports bike with little or no storage capacity your options are limited.”
