“Love laspang, it was the only black tea I drink. Thought I had found a substitute but this is awful. Tastes like kerosene smells. Threw the whole lot away and will never but again!!”
“Sorry Twinings, you got this one wrong. This stuff is to Lapsang Souchong what boil-in-the-bag kippers are to an Arbroath Smokie. Please bring back proper Lapsang.”
“I'm sorry but I don't like the flavour of this replacement for lapsang suchong at all. It has an artificial kind of flavour which leaves an unpleasant after taste. In the list of ingredients it says smoke flavouring. It should list the actual chemicals added. I like to know what I'm imbibing.”
“Absolutely vile, this is not Lapsang! I've switched to Taylors, they have somehow managed to source the real thing. You would think Twinings would be able to being one of the world's largest tea companies.”
“In no way whatsoever does this taste anything near to Lapsang Souchong. It tastes like ditch/dish water. I really do hope the original Lapsang Souchong returns quickly. I have thrown the, distinctively smoky, in the rubbish bin.”
“Horrible. After years of drinking proper Lapsang Souchong I noticed a sudden change in taste. Very smoky, rather acrid, thoroughly nasty. I couldn’t understand it. I feel cheated.
I now drink good loose leaf Lapsang ordered from a reliable tea provider, but it is harder when I travel and would like a tea bag.”
