“If I could give a zero, I would. I’ve been drinking lapsang for nearly 20 years and was distraught to discover it had been discontinued. Opened the pack of distinctively smoky tea with high hopes that they’d created a nice alternative. The smell wasn’t a good starting point. Somewhere between old boot and musty cupboard. I prayed that this didn’t continue through to the tea but oh my god this tea is rancid. I can’t remember the last time I poured a full cuppa down the sink. Who are your master tea makers because they’ve clearly neither tasted a lapsang nor have any awareness of what makes for a drinkable cup of tea?! The aftertaste is still lingering now. Please kill this monster now before others have to endure this awful tea-drinking experience…”

“Terrible and terrible decision to discontinue the real thing. CHARGE MORE and sell the proper product. If it's a cost cutting exercise then this will backfire as the 'distinctively smoky' is nothing like the original product. Disappointed to put it mildly.”

“This is awful, so disappointing! Twining's Lapsang was my favourite, I drank it every single day. Totally gutted it's been discontinued - this is not at all a substitute for it. Tastes artificial, watery, none of the comforting smokiness of Lapsang. Horrid. Please reconsider and bring back the proper thing!”

“What have you done, its less superior than Lapsang, the Master blenders clearly do not drink their own curated tea. Sorry, but you've made the wrong move, it's almost tasteless bar the unpleasant after taste. A poor substitute for the original Lapsang you packaged and sold..”
