“Why have you changed what was a very nice cuppa into something that smells like it’s come out of an over heated car radiator and tastes, I would imagine, like it too. I am sad to have to admit as Sainsbury’s 3rd best buyer of Lapsang last year I was looking forward to perhaps a subtle change to the taste. Not so unfortunately. Tea gone straight down the sink, tea bags in bin I’m warming up the car now and will syphon off the radiator fluid to see if it tastes better. If it does I’ll put in for a job with those master blenders and see how I get on!!”

“Jus don’t buy this. All the reviews are spot on. Insipid opening, lack lustre middle and a wierd chemical aftertaste that oddly makes you have another sip to try and work out whether it’s glue (as another reviewer suggested) or burning car tyres. Utterly depressing. Ok I am sure lapsang souchong wasn’t their best seller but why mess with an established recipe that has been popular for years? Come on twinings - sort this mess out.”
