“Why Twinings? Why? I won’t be buying a second box having drank Lapsang Souchong for years.
Unfortunately this comparative blend is no substitute, it’s weak and odd tasting. A little Smokey I guess but more muddy puddle.

I think the blend has changed because after half a cup I threw the rest down the sink and put the remaining the tea bags in the waste bin. Altogether just nasty! I'm mystified as to why the blend was changed, profit margins perhaps?”

“I used to love drinking Twinings Lapsang Souchong tea. The new "Distinctly Smoky" rubbish just sucks!
It has a light smoky taste reminiscent of an old ashtray that is until the chemical chlorox after-taste arrives. Then its just vile!
Please don't try and gaslight us as to how "good" this rubbish is.
I have switched to drinking the Lapsang Souchong blend sold by Taylors of Harrogate, it tastes as I expect it to, and I will not return.
Sadly I am stuck with a box of this ghastly stuff, I can't even feed it to the dog.

“What's happened to the normal Lapsang blend? Distinctly smokey is terrible, no where near the same depth of flavour. Gutted I stocked up on this without realising the change. Really disappointing.”
