“This tea is NOT Lapsang Suchong tea which Twinnings appears very sadly to have discontinued, probably due to slow sales and increasing costs. It is a cheaper blend of tea which they hope the public might like - if not Twinnings will probably do away with it altogether. I have drunk Lapsang Suchong all my life and I love it. This is a poor substitute. I am exttremely disapponted that Twinnings have replaced it with this one. It's a bad decision. I will now havw to find my Lapsang Suchong elsewhere, :(”
“OH DEAR OH DEAR!! NOOOOOO
How can you get it so wrong?
Truly awful , nothing like lapsang Souchong.
Please bring back lapsang Souchong, this is dreadful tea.
Can't believe you have dropped the ball in this manner.
Please sort it”
“Very hard to see who would like this but wouldn't like proper Lapsang Souchong.
Very easy to see how many people loved Lapsang Souchong and don't like this.”
“Absolutely disgusting - would give it 0 stars if I could. Twinings Lapsang Souchong was a family staple for 30 years and we will not buy Twinings again unless they bring it back.”
“I have always drank lapsang. Bought your smoky tea today - it is no substitute for lapsang - so disappointed and will not buy another packet. I have been a customer for over 30 years. It really is undrinkable - I will be throwing away 49 tea bags. Lapsang is the only tea I drink.”
“Oh twinings what have you done. Your attempt to replace Lapsang has fallen very short of the mark. If it a price issue I would prefer to pay a premium to get the real thing again. Please reconsider.”
“Just tried this having accidentally bought it instead of Lapsang.
Its horrible to be frank - smoky and mellow etc ? none of that, it tastes of carbolic soap.
One bag was enough - I chucked the rest out .”
