Brilliant book. Great value for money. Would like it to be spiral bound though as pages do tend to fold back over to their closed position.

Great for beginners as an introduction to the Pi Pico and MicroPython. The one thing I would have added is a list for the MicroPython commands including those in the libraries, with a brief description. The book does references other information but it can be a trawl to find what you are after.

Covers basics of soldering etc.. Not what I would recommend for kids - age dependant, but good for what it shows. Haven't gone through it all, but may be needs some more of the 'basic'. I may have missed it, but libraries needed for programs, pip install, pip3 install, github -... I have struggled with some of this, some programs run, some do not. This is 'python', lots of flavours. Would be nice to have a concise how to guide.

generally OK but some discrepancy between the pin numbering given in the pinout guide at appendix B and the article on a temperature Gauge given in Chapter 8.

There is no index, no basic explanations on PWM, PIO, etc. Also, there are no setup instruction for C++. Kids can definitely code in C++. It is very good at giving soldering advice, and making sure all types of people are represented. It's got a lot of good material, I was just hoping for a bit more on the specifics side. The index is a big deal for me.
