“It looks clean, was relatively easy to install and keeps the temperatures of RPi 4 B under control.
It did not come with instructions, so you need to know where to put thermal pads (which came with extra pairs) and where to connect the wires of the fans.”
“Super sturdy case, very easy to put together. I didn't receive thermal ads of different thicknesses, the aluminium seemed to be machined to the correct height for CPU and other chips, so I have one CPU pad left over. Definitely makes a huge difference in temps. Have been running stress tests all day, and with the case/heatsink it's an easy 20 degrees cooler (didn't go above 56 using stressberry for 1hr). I've only knocked one star off because the dual fans seem to be no better than using a single original fan which I received with the official pi 4 case. Just swapped it out for testing and if anything, the temps are lower with just the one fan installed closest to the USB/Ethernet ports. Maybe it spins quicker by itself, who knows. The heatsink itself does most of the heavy lifting in any case. Can repurpose the dual fan elsewhere I'm sure. Absolutely does what it says on the tin!”
“Does what it says on the tin! Keeps my Pi about 20°C cooler than it was without this case, and the fans are pretty much silent. Very happy with my purchase!”
“Needed a cooling solution for my Raspberry Pi 4. So looked on the Pi Hut website through all the cooling solutions and this one seemed the best solution for the money. It feels do solid and sturdy. Fans are silent and efficient.”
“Used this case for keeping a RP4 cool that is mounted on the rear of a wall mounted Dell monitor which is being used to run the Dakboard OS and display the Family Calendar.
As the monitor has been enrobed in a custom made solid wooden ash frame and the gap between the wall and its back edge is only about 5mm then I needed to ensure that I had a forced air-cooling solution in place to prevent any possibilty of overheating.
The cases fans are pretty quiet and you can hardly hear them running unless you place your ear within a few inches of where it is approximately mounted on the rear of the monitor.
If I were to have one minor (constructive) criticism it would be to include a small diagram of which pins on the GPIO IF to connect the fans lead to. However, to be fair if you are messing around with a Pi then really this should be something you should either know or be easily able to research.
So overall an excellent reasonably priced product.”
