great case, keeps the Pi model4 8GB cool and protected, while still allowing access to all the headers, sd card and IO's. comes with spare heat pads too. Do not over tighten the screws otherwise you will cause the pi board to bend causing potential damage. over all a great product at a great price

Contrary to the instructions, the thermal pads came pre-cut in my package, which was convenient and saved some foutering. My one uncertainty was that it seemed like the two small pads were made of slightly thicker material, again contrary to the instructions. It would be good if the instructions could be updated to clarify this, although it seems to work fine. In the official case, my Pi idled in the mid-40s. Installed in this case, it idles around 30ยบ.

Must be the neatest, simple heatsink there is - oh, and a robust, practical protection for the Pi as well

Excellent heat dissipation, so keeps nice and cool compared to small heat sinks. An okay fit but can cause the board to flex if tightened too much.

I'm impressed with this case. I had been using a case with a fan but the fan noise was noticeable so I thought I try this one. My Pi does run a few degrees warmer than it did with the fan but it is still only running in the low 30s which is well below the reckoned safe maximum and the silence is deafening. One criticism is that neither of my cases came with instructions and both had two sets of thermal pads so I stuck one set on the chips and one set on the case having removed both top and bottom protective coverings. Some time after screwing the case together I noticed that the circuit board had a slight bend caused by the pressure of the top case being screwed down pushing on it through the thermal pads. It doesn't seem to have caused any problem and at least I know that there is contact but should only one set of pads have been fitted? No idea but if I remove one set now will that stop contact? I've just left it as it is.

Asthetically a really nice dual function case and heatsink. Assuming the silicone pads that fit between the heatsink and the chips have good conductivity then it has to be a winner. The only disadvantages are the ribbon cables are a bit tricky to insert and remove if you're going to want to do that and the SD card is a little exposed. My only regret is that I didn't buy these before for my other Pi's.
