This was our first experience of the RPi, which I bought for our son. Plugged everything in, inserted the Raspbian SD card, switched on and held breath. Scrolling machine code for a few seconds, then a window offering a few options, which we just exited for the time being, and then up came the RPi home screen, very welcoming. Within minutes we were browsing the internet and having fun with some of the pre-installed simple games, such as the snake game (similar to the one that used to be on all Nokia phones years ago). We've got a lot more exploring to do, but this seems to be a brilliantly simple way to start, so I have to say 'highly recommended, and very good value'.

Fired up the first time without issue. A good solution if you don't want to learn how to write images to SD cards. Would be cooler if it came with a Raspbian logo sticker instead of the generic one.

Heat caused forced errors in the SSD flash drive when overclocking at 800 mhz after about 4 hours of steady use. They appear to be recoverable as start over re-imaged virgins.
