“If you want to build headless units, you no longer can since the updates of the OS. So you need the Pi imager to do it and an Internet connection but even then it doesn't work most of the time frustratingly.”
“Fast, plenty of spare space (although not accessible - see below). No idea how many write cycles it will survive which is a potential problem in development and some applications. Really frustrating that all the stuff you need to access is in the ext4 partition so unreadable in Windows and vice versa.
Mine suffered catastrophic failure when the (Pi-Hut) 12.5W power supply couldn't supply enough amps to boot safely, so had to be re-imaged. Imager refused to recognise the SD card, presumably because it had to be reformatted by Windows since RPi can't boot with an unformatted card.”
