“It was exciting. My first Raspberry PI arrived. I had already purchased a case and power supply. I had the keyboard, mouse, ethernet, TV ready, and a pre-installed Debian 6 SD Card. And I had the XBMC SD Card, pre-installed, from PI HUT. I really wanted to just get the PI running and see what it could do with a proven application pre-installed and pre-configured.
When the PI arrived, I plugged everything in, inserted the SD Card, powered it up, and prepared to start figuring out why it didn't work..... like always happens with a new system. But NOTHING went wrong! The PI worked. The SD Card booted flawlessly to XBMC. In a minute I was up and exploring. A minute later I was watching a video online. Ten minutes later I had copied a movie from my Mac and was watching a movie! I love it. Now I've justified the cost of the PI and with XBMC it has a place and a purpose. Now I can start playing with XBMC and Debian and see how far I can take it.”
