“purchased because i hate windows 11 with a passion and wanted a modern pc that doesnt have it. safe to say i fell in love with this almost instantly. the UI is eons brtter looking and easier to navigate and shows me more information. Can still do all the things that I'd want from a windows machine. Limited on what games i can play but i have plenty of consoles for that. love it 6 out of 5”
“Bought this to act as a document/homework handler, does a great job so far. Only minor gripe is that the power cable is a little too short to reach from an extension cable/socket at floor height up and across a desk to the device. Otherwise great little package!”
“Very pleased to be able to buy this and support a British technology company. Was slightly nervous about using Linux, a system I had no experience with but in the event I need not have worried as the out of the book experience was seamless and the rpi os will be familiar to anyone who has used windows systems.
Hardware appears well made and I appreciated the book as well, which my daughter has already started to read and use to play with some scratch coding.”
“What the bare stats don't really represent is that the pure clock speed boost over the RPi400 being about 33% isn't a direct correlation to how much quicker the boot time and shutdown time is on this now. I took it on holiday as a media centre and also web browser for tourist info when plugged into the hotel TV. At this it excelled and with Kodi installed as an also-app as opposed to the whole OS it functioned well to beam my ripped DVDs and old DivX bittorrent downloads to the same TV. I am very pleased with it. The whole 'No PCIe availability for M2 SSDs' doesn't hurt it at all in this use case as a proper USB3 thumb drive into a USB3 slot functioned just fine and as mentioned, the boot from TF card was about 6 seconds tops.”
“This is a brilliant home computer, suitable for beginners, hobbyists and power users alike. I installed Ubuntu 24 onto a microSD card, and was up and running in under half an hour, most of which was taken up by automatic update downloads to ensure that I had the very latest and most secure versions of the kernal and applications. It's not quite as fast as my Intel-based desktop machine, but it's still a very capable computer.”
“Great product as I wanted a small footprint but with hindsight a regular Pi 5 would have done the job as connecting remotely usinf Pi Connect is such a doddle. Great bit of kit though.”
