My son was thrilled with his gift and the delivery was super fast. Immaculate packaging. A storage sleeve to fit it would be perfect, otherwise very very happy. Nice quality product.

I can't seem to use any sort of wireless mouse with it. 2.4G wireless mouse when connected behaves lethargic and with a big delay. Very disappointing. I am going to attempt a bluetooth connected mouse before defaulting back to a wired mouse. A shame.

The keyboard computer that looks like a keyboard is the stuff of what dreams are made of. Using a cheap standalone monitor and Bluetooth mouse, you have a little powerhouse computer that you can take anywhere. These are powerful tools that look so innocent. Just as easy as a laptop, but so much cooler.

The Pi 500+ is an excellent bit of kit. I love that it takes the Pi 5 and turns it into a powerful portable keyboard computer. The keyboard is much better than standard Pi keyboards and the internal hardware is significantly more impressive than the traditional Pi while retaining the features that make the Pi so great to tinker with. I'm looking forward to using it for retro gaming (I used to have both a ZX Spectrum and a Commodore 64) and for testing maker projects.

A little expensive (a version without the built in SSD would have been nice) but overall it's a great little computer with a really nice (if slightly noisy) mechanical keyboard - definitely brings back some good memories of the 1980's home computers (Oric Atmos in my case). I would recommend it to anyone who wants to avoid the forced (so called) "AI" invasion that is happening on Windows based computers (along with all the tracking and data collection) or for anyone who wants a computer that just works (also nice to support a UK based computer designer and manufacturer).
