“Small, bright display and effective touch control. I had some challenges getting the touch interface working with a Pi4 due to a recent bug on Bullseye OS, but the Pi Hut team were helpful and quickly pointed me in the direction of a fix. I used with case and you also have to make a change to flip the display but this is easy in the Pi menu.”
“Arrived very quickly as did the SmartiPi enclosure. Two hours later I had taken out my pi/Hifiberry DAC boards from their case and attached them to the back of the display, and Moode audio player worked first time on the touchscreen.”
“Simple to connect (just one multi-way, plus power which I did via USB). There's a slight issue in the pixels not being "square" means that graphically drawn circles are squashed, so I had to revise the graphic design to deal with this. It should work for the intended application running on it, but will be a while before it gets tested in the final environment.”
“A few days of tearing my hair out until discovering that the latest (Bullseye based) Raspbian has far-reaching changes in display and touchscreen drivers that made the touchscreen unreliable and the screen itself a bit flaky with default settings - see here for details: https://forums.raspberrypi.com/viewtopic.php?t=323603
Now that it's actually working, pleased with it. Looks decent, behaves itself properly.”
