“The Active Cooler is I feel an essential item to have with the new Pi5 and works very efficiently and keeps the Pi5 working very well and it seems to be reasonably quiet whilst in operation.”
“Clips into the board - is not compatible with the case I don’t think (as the clips interfere with the case bits but as I’m getting 2 pi 5’s I’ll still use it - does the job nicely.”
“The Pi5 active cooler is precisely engineered and fits great with the springloaded plastic retention pegs holding it on and preapplied thermal pads helping to transfer the heat, overall fantastic product. This cooler works with the official case, but won't allow the case fan at the same time, however since this cooler and its built in fan offers better performance best to use this and keep the case fan off. It does perform better with the official case top off, but either way the unit is kept below the throttling limit.”
