“I decided to get the Active Cooler module for my PI 5, which arrived promptly.
I did have a slight problem, in that the wiring into the tiny plug is not strong and one of the wires broke off as I was trying to press it home. As much my own fault, I am sure - but a lesson learned, as I had to buy a replacement (special) fan.
it's all now working fine and, if I manage to fix the connnection on the original fan, I will have a spare.
I'm very happy with my PI 5 though. Very fast.”
“So simple. Just install and forget. The best thing is that this does not take any GPIO pins, nor require any coding. It just works as expected. My Pi is, shall we say, rather fat with additional hats, so this was important to me. Partially, because the rPi will be located on a DIN rail, and I really needed to remove one hat to make it fit!”
