Love raspberry pis (my p b has been going strong for a good ~10years!!) I'm using it as a pihole and firewall. Its slightly overclocked but cpu temps never really go above 50c!. It does have a heatsink on the cpu but apart from that nothing crazy.
With regards to be the pizero 2 w. This little device is very impressive for the price! :) Im still tinkering about with it and trying to figure out what the best use for it would be. Ive experimented with using it to backup logs from my pi b, backup dns and also just to monitor and send alerts if any issues but feel like I could make better use of it :) Its helped me practise my networking skills and Linux skills. I had it setup as device to stream from spotify to my bluetooth headphones / speakers as well but felt that was a bit pointless as I can just do that via my phone and tbe app.. was more of just a learning thing for me :)
I've decided to try make my own dashcam! So will be back for a camera and some other accessories to facilitate this.
I'm also looking to get the pi5 16gb as I want to explore virtual machines and also machine learning. (With my career in mind). My employer is keen to progress people internally, so im hoping all of the above combined with some certifications(paid for by my employerer) will provide me with a solid foundation to progress :)
