“Compact, easy setup, sturdy.
A little more bounce on the keys than I am used to, but quite comfortable.
A great learning device, for me, its VIC20 2.0 !”
“I just don't know why this idea wasn't thought of before. It's so handy to have the Pi built into a keyboard. In fact I have mine set up just like my laptop, I even have a 1TB SSD attached which I now use to boot the Pi from. I'm actually thinking abut moving all my stuff over to the Pi and using that as my main system, especially as my laptop is 10 years old ! Perfect system, every 10 year old upwards should have one for Christmas. I fully recommend.”
“Raspberry Pi are already a fantastic learning/playing tool, this new 400 is the icing on the cake !
Everything you need in one box, inc a great book, highly recommend it to all ages !”
“I bought the Pi400 to use as a relatively simple computer while out and about and not wanting to take my big laptop. I am fairly impressed with the construction of the Pi400 in its case with keyboard. This means that you just need a small 7 or 10 inch screen and a mouse to use it anywhere. It does the jobs I need it for ( word processing, Wifi, Internet browsing etc) well and in the knowledge of what it actually is ( ie; not a super fast Windows or Mac PC) and what it can do I am really pleased with it.”
“Excellent quality product, looks good, and what excellent value. Just do wish it had a 3.5mm audio jack, I personally would sacrifice the second HDMI port or even a USB port for this. Quite easily solved with a USB audio dongle of course. Reinstalled with Ubuntu as I'm a long-time Ubuntu user though I like the fact that the pi comes ready-to-go and with a nice book. Am using the pi as a TV/entertainment centre (though not currently being able to stream netflix due to silly DRM issues on 64bit arm) and also combined with an impact nektar GX61 midi controller and lmms, as a piano. Have also been using it with a USB web cam and microphone for social video chats in chromium using meet.jit.si which works great. Am finding that though some things are not supported due to the architecture (for example, no zoom app and zoom in browser too sluggish) there are viable alternatives for most things and hopefully a solution for the DRM issue will emerge in the future (or even better these streaming services will come to their senses and ditch DRM altogether).”
