“Over the past few years, I've bought several of these, both UK and US versions, and they make fantastic presents for kids. I've had one on my desk since they first came out, and it's been incredibly useful. I use it for web searches, watching YouTube videos, and most importantly, as a terminal to SSH and manage the myriad of other Raspberry Pi devices that run my life.”

“Very simple set up, worked out of the box. Only later discovered the chapter in the book on setting it up - would have helped is this was pointed out in the kit itself. We later bought a GPIO to breadboard extender - it would have been good if this had been included in the kit.”

“+ Quick to set up - I was up and running in half an hour if that. + Easy to use - Rubber cover over GPIO pins is a bit tricky to remove”

“A joy to use! Perfect for an 'older' (over 21!) learner who just wants to dabble and find out about this programming stuff. Very excited about potential future hardware projects - I mean who does not want to have control of LEDs form a bit of code that they ahve written! Very fast ordering and delivery service. Arrived perfectly intact, works flawlessly out of the box. The initial update took quite a bit of time so I left it on overnight, enjoying the veryu low power usage of the Pi 400 :-) Love how quick the Pi400 starts up - just wish more comuters were as fast to start up.”

“This is a great piece of kit. I'm using it to host a nextcloud instance along with Jellyfin home media server and it works just great both over the internet and the local network. Just make sure you add an external hard disk/ssd and reload the operating system or the system crawls. I have had some problems with SSH being slow as hell on the default Debian based OS shipped with the Pi400. If you get this problem add the code "IPQoS 0x00" to the end of the ssh_config and sshd_config found in /etc/ssh and reboot/ run the command sudo systemctl restart sshd.”
