“I placed an order for the Raspberry Pi 400 late on the 7th of January from the Pi Hut.
I'd been interested in purchasing a Pi for several years but never took the plunge until a colleague mentioned the Pi 400 with the components inside a keyboard and if the complete kit was ordered came with mouse, required cables and introduction to Raspberry Pi book (which is also available in the documents folder on supplied memory card).
Service from Pi Hut was extremely fast with order arriving on morning of 9th January.
As my son is home schooling I'd said that while he's studying I'll teach myself programming as that was my primary reasoning for getting the Pi.
The Pi is fantastic value for the price. I've bought a longer micro hdmi to hdmi cable because with my TV on wall it was nowhere near long enough unless I constantly removed my amp from unit to connect via that. I've also purchased an external SSD to expand the memory copying the supplied 16gb memory card to and now running from.
Have done a little programming using Scratch 4 and am now onto Python.
I've been able to download a Citrix plug in for Linux and can connect remotely to my work should I require to use the Pi to work from home.
The Pi is capable of 4K resolution but I had to amend output to full HD else text was too small to read on my TV.
This is a fantastic piece of kit and something I would thoroughly recommend to everyone (especially children/teenagers to get them interested in STEM subjects) .
In a way I regret waiting so long to get into Pi but at same time am extremely happy with the Pi 400 and the service from the Pi Hut.”
