It took a couple of attempts to get going on my Raspberry Pi 2 but that was due to my aerial being disconnected in the loft.... it is now working as a server to my iPad and iPhone using TVH App relaying all the channels from the Oxford DVB-T repeater. Lovely bit of kit.

Great tuner. Very stable with no dropouts or lockups. Works flawlessly on both SD and HD tv.

Easy install, set up instructions worked first time, tried it with OSMC but card not automatically detected, returned to libreelec. Doesn't detect two muxes (ch 55 & 56) which are present on my TV's and main PVR, these are slightly lower signal quality on my TV so you may have problems if you have a marginal signal in your area.

Within a couple of hours of receiving it I had it up and running. Biggest problem I had was getting a wifi signal strong enough (still a bit slow) to where I had a TV aerial point. Installed the plugin into plex and can now stream to any device connected easily. It seems a bit picky about what web browser it runs on Edge (no surprise!) doesn't work, Firefox sort of works and Chrome seems to work best but I've been unable to get it to stream on any browser. (on a Windows PC). The recording facility in TVheadend works well, all I need to do now is add some extra storage and improve the network connection.

This is a Sony single tuner DVB-T/T2 device. It works very well, with a decent antenna. I've used mine to replace a DVB-T USB TV Dongle I was using with TV Headend and Kodi. Mainly because this supports DVB-T2, which I can confirm works perfectly well for me. Many people don't understand the requirement for the 'right' antenna. If you have problems, and a 'great' antenna, then perhaps it's being overloaded, try a smaller antenna. Anyway, the device setup was simple (follow their guide, including the updates!), works well, isn't that expensive for a DVB-T2 device, might be more efficient that a USB device as it's using SPI, but that would need confirming. It seems to run really quite cool for a tuner (most of my USB TV Tuners get quite warm). It's running 24/7, so I'll know how stable it is 'over time' in a few months... years. Overall, I don't think you can go wrong with this. Though, don't buy it if you are looking for an SDR radio type solution, as those are usually based on the well understood RTL tuner chip, not this SONY chip. I've recorded both SD and HD programmes without any issues at all. Bearing in mind it usually takes a while to fine tune DVB-T/T2 for good performance with the USB TV Tuners I've used, I'd say this boards performance is better than the USB Dongles I've used. Cheers. James

After a couple of hours of constant head scratching over installing tvheadend, I finally got it installed by updating the apt list. That was a huge relief for me!!! It is a great product and I can stream live freeview tv on any device that has a web browser in my home!!! Well done raspberry pi!!!
