“It's the default camera for modern pi, but without a filter so better in low light. I am using it with an oldish refractor telescope, and after removing the lens works well. Some minor difficulties with focusing, place piece of slightly off clear plastic film across the eyepiece and focus on that, replace with the picam. The correct focus for the picam is close to that point.”

“I'm an archaeology PhD student, and I'm trying to figure out how to use a Pi NoIR camera in conjunction with a normal Pi camera to collect multispectral data of archaeological sites from a drone. I'm still in the beginning stages of work, but I'm really excited about the potential of the Pi NoIR camera. Hopefully I'll have good results to report sometime soon!”
