“I've been pleasantly surprised by the Pi Zero. It has good processing power for basic projects and a compatibility with a number of components I already had (given that the GPIO bus is the same across different Pi's) Of course if you want a certain feature you'll probably need to add it, such as wifi but the upside to that is if you don't need it you don't need to carry it around. I run a modified slackware distro that I've come up with and X windows performes quite well. The only real downside is the lack of HW floating point which would make it more of a candidate for gaming and streaming.”
“Excellent for starters and for small DIY, but it is a bit tedious if You want to use it for a PC-like tasks. When GUI is on, the processor has a very hard time...”
