I bought this when they came back in stock the price was unbelievable. I'm working on programs to control stepper motors the long term aim is to control a turntable on a model railway layout. I purchased the box of essentials 40 pin header hdmi adapter which I strongly recommend. I had developed some trial code on a PI B just moved the SD card to the Zero fired it up and it worked straight away connected to the wifi and I used Putty to remote into it. I'm was so happy with my purchase I bought another one.

Bought the Pi Zero as I've always been fascinated with computers, particularly as small as is possible. This started way back in the early 80's when I had a Commodore 64 but was secretly jealous of my friends that had the Sinclair ZX Spectrum as it was tiny in comparison. Fast forwards to today and I have the Zero. Back then I could only dream of a computer this small and powerful compared to then. So, what to use it for? Well, after coming up with various scenarios and looking at many, many projects online, I've decided to go with a CCTV system. I'll be using several of them along with the official camera modules and an Odroid C1+ that I already own, large USB hard drive that is surplus to requirements and suitable software. Not decided on the software yet, still researching the possibilities.

Having the original Zero from day-1 I needed one with the camera connector for a Zeroview setup. Arrived in a couple of days and up and running no problem with a wifi dongle bought elsewhere. Been running for a couple of weeks without problem.

I bought zero to setup kodi there and give it to my mum as from reviews it works fine for usual stuff like watching iptv or youtube.everything that is not 1080p. It may only be about half the surface of a regular Pi, but also because it is a lot flatter it feels like a very tiny board, which is nice. For convenience I set up the SD card from a regular Pi, with SSH activated, and I soldered a wifi modue as described here https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=63&t=127449 Very compact result.
