“The Pi Zero has clearly been a huge success, perhaps indicated by stock levels even a couple of years after its release! This tiny matchbox sized circuit board offers incredible potential and computing power for under a fiver! Now the addition of built in WiFi and Bluetooth makes the Zero W definitely complete, just add a keyboard, mouse and display for a complete wireless computer! The Zero W could easily be mistaken for the standard Zero, it looks practically identical and retains the same tiny form factor. The WiFi is integrated and no special set up is required (as with the Pi3), just search for a network, login and off you go! Reception is excellent despite the miniscule antenna on board, it’s perfect for a headless internet radio project as it eliminates both a USB hub and WiFi dongle. The bluetooth also makes it easier to add a keyboard or mouse, or even stream audio again without any need for additional hardware. Another bonus is that stock levels seem to be better than the standard Zero, so you shouldn’t have too much trouble picking one up. And the best bit is its only a few pounds more than the standard zero, definitely cheaper than buying a WiFi dongle, Bluetooth dongle and USB hub! The Zero W is a no brainer, and it will help condense Pi projects even smaller and reduce power consumption over using separate hardware. Of course where better to order it than the Pi Hut, as always exemplary service and super speedy delivery! Top marks.”
“I marked the Zero 1.3 down because of the fragility of the retainer clip on the camera connector. I just used light fingernail pressure to open the connector and the clip flew off into the room. Otherwise, it is an RPi Zero...what can you say. Be very careful when opening this clip as it can easily be removed altogether and lost and it is not easy to restore it.”
“At the day of purchaising, I became a mail, of the new Zero C...with wlan and bluethooth. Thank´s for having me the old one! The 5 pound moreI had payed for this comfort! But, I didn´t know....
My first Zero died over night! without using.”
