“I ordered my second Pi Zero on the 19th of July and it was shown as shipped a day later. Move forwards a month and still no Pi Zero. I followed up with customer service and explained, I don't want a refund. I want a Pi Zero. Being an international order payment is subject to exchange rates which vary daily. They insisted they HAVE to refund and I found out why when I went to reorder. No more individual Pi Zeros. Only the kits. Now. I can't hold Pi hut responsible for the zero vanishing in transit but when it comes to service for international customers they a) didn't tell me they had none in stock. B) didn't offer me the option of a credit to allow me to get one when they have them back in stock or what would have been perfect - "hey, sorry but we ran out. We'll hold your order so we can send one when they are back in and we'll let you order 2 when that happens if you were going to order one then anyway" so. With that in mind. Pi Zero is 5 stars. Pi hut customer service somewhat less. (oh and they didn't bother to deal with my other issue. A micro usb otg shim that doesn't work. )”
“I am setting up a Pi Zero to use with a Pi camera, to experiment with a bit of animal photography, and also time-lapse. I had already built something using a Pi 1 B, which worked fine, but the Pi Zero was attractive because of it's lower power draw.
Early days yet, but it seems to be good. Setup was easy enough although I did have to get a hub to go with it in order for the Wifi dongle and a USB stick to be plugged in. I chose a type that attaches to the Pi, making a neat little package.
So, there we are, all good so far. Amazing really what you can get for a few pounds.”
