First "fancy" advent calendar I've ever bought myself, and very glad I did. I'm a software developer, but know precious little about the hardware side of things, so this is a great introduction and provides so many components to tinker with - even though I've completed the 12 Days, I still have plenty of other project ideas to be getting on with, so I'd say the contents is well worth the price for the amount of use you can get out of it. The guidance provided is clear and simple - lots of wiring diagrams - and, while my own two children were more interested in the results than the set-up, I think an older child would be able to follow along quite easily. Looking forward to trying the "Let it Glow" version next Christmas!

Excellent introduction to tinkering around with microcontroller boards. Lots of fun to go through the exercises daily and learn about possible sensors and inputs that can be used.

I’m not the best coder out there but I do enjoy a good project. It’s a fun little thing to get for yourself or a loved one who wants in on the coding adventure. I’d say it’s good for any age group (beware of small parts).

Nice set to build with kids. Introduces nicely different programming concepts and we especially liked the examples where such components are used in real life.

Bought as a treat for me to do with my eldest, but youngest has insisted on joining in too! It's a great starter collection of components, as well as the Raspberry Pi Pico microcontroller, and having the structured tuition for the twelve days has been excellent. We're only up to Day 4, but really enjoying it and learning plenty. I have considerable programming experience in C, my eldest has done some Python, and my youngest Scratch - however you would be fine if you had done nothing at all previously. All in all, great value, great fun, and educational!

This was an impulse buy the week before Christmas, but I'm glad I made it. Doing the projects every day with my 13 year old is just the right bite sized amount of coding and tinkering. A pleasant way to fill the Christmas break. And hopefully the start of a new hobby for me anyway!

This is an excellent excuse for learning something new while waiting for Christmas :-)

It was exactly what I had expected, it is good to learn python, also for beginners and a good exercise for the others.
