“A birthday pi4 addition that got a big thumbs up from my son. We love the controllability of the fan, the look and the shifting of all ports to the back. Well worth the price.”
“A very well designed case for the RPI 4.
Assembly went well, just make sure you insert the hat fully in, otherwise the fixing holes won't line up.
You might not hear the fan running (your Pi might not run hot) but you can use the config script to test it (fan=on).
Definitely worth the money.”
“Really well designed product that keeps all the cables neatly tucked away on the back. It also adds in a power button which depending how you press will do different power functions (i.e. restart, force shutdown etc). Magnetic cut-out in the case allows easy access to the GPIO pins of the Pi. I would say this case was very easy to install. It came with instructions on how to program the fan, which allows you to customize what temperature it comes on at. Mine hasn't got hot enough to switch the fan on, as it mostly does passive heat sink, and when the Pi is on you can feel the case warm up showing it's dissipating heat really well. I did a temperature command in terminal and it never went above 45°C, which is much better than with just plastic case I had before. It also comes with stick-on rubber feat which prevents the Pi from sliding around on the desk when used.
The Pi Hut was very prompt with delivery, there was little wasted packaging and allowed tracked delivery. Overall I would definitely recommend this case for the Pi 4.”
“This is an expensive solution for the Raspberry Pi 4B, but the 8gb model (and perhaps other models) runs quite hot and a case with a fan is sensible. Fitting it together is easy and everything is accessible. The removeable flap covering the GPIO pins, and secured by magnets, is very convenient for experimenters.”
“Looks wonderful and keeps the pi amazingly cool. Best case there can be for the Pi.
Default provided script for configuring the power button only works for Raspberry Pi OS. Had to search and find a custom one that works for Ubuntu.”
