Like the fact that this bought all the peripheral connections onto one panel & incorporated the fan & heatsink. I was already looking at doing a similar PCB with a 12V to 5V DC-DC supply to give more options on the PSU. I think Raspberry Pi org missed an opportunity to change the form factor to do this on pi 4 as the extra heat effectively takes you out of the old form factor and I was always frustrated not having all the main peripheral interfaces on one edge. The extra PCB area would have allowed better heat management and more options. The cost of the extra connectors in this options would have potentially paid for the extra PCB area?

Pro: Hefty an good case. The re-routing of the ports to a single side ist quote convenient. Con: The pi fits extremely snug and the external access to the sd card is a bit too flat to easily extract the card.

I bought this case for a Christmas project with the step kids, we are going to build a retro games station. The case is solid and it looks really slick, assembly is pretty easy however take you time with the fitting the Pi4 into the case as it can be a bit tight. The only down side to this case is the recess at the rear for the micro hdmi. You don't necessarily get a good connection and will get the usual blank screen. In true maker fashion, I just trimmed back about 2mm and the problem was solved. The safe shutdown script for the power button does what it says on the tin but, If you are planning on using the likes of Lakka OS for your retro gaming project, then the script will not install. Despite the power script and hdmi issue this is still a great little case and I may be tempted to get another one to build a stand alone media centre. I'm giving this 5 stars...

This is what I have been looking for to put my pi 4 in. Now it really looks like a small computer and I have not seen the fan even come on so far in the last couple of hours since I put my pi in this case. I am extremely satisfied. Just make sure you read the manual fully and ensure the pi seats correctly in the case connector before screwing together. If not seated correctly the screw holes will not align. Thanks for this great case PiHut.
