“I got this to try as a dog tracker. The device itself lives up to its reputation. It seems well built and I get nearly a day and a half out of it when being used as a tracker sending its position as often as possible.
I am still unsure if meshtastic fits the bill for this use case. However, the device itself is sound.”

It comes with meshtastic, but you must upgrade the software for best performance. This is simple to do.
Range is impressive, even from your pocket, which is important as the card is so small. It does support a lanyard if you prefer, but it doesn't come with one.
I hear it works well as a meshcore client, but I have not verified that.
