“Bought 2 and re flashed for meshcore using web based imager on meshcore UK site without any issues ( bit of strange way to get into DFU for flashing there are instructions online).
So far so good, early days, not been able to test direct 0 hop range yet but worked fine through local repeaters.
Had more trust buying from pihut than some other sites and it arrived next day.”
“First time using this and had already been using Meshtastic for two years very easy to use and setup would highly recommend this device I take this everywhere with me even took it with me on a recent flight to the Isle of Man as a luggage tag worked seamlessly tracked via my phone”
“Wow what a fantastic little device I would highly recommend & buy again, I have recently re-flashed it with meshcore which is working even better than meshtastic, cheers.”
“To be used as an inflight EC device tracking paragliders using SoftRf. Setup and charged tested and working great. Such a simple device to use. If you want to use it with the Meshtastic app on your phone it works great like that too. Small and convenient so easy to carry. Just a note charged it off the pc as it likes a slow charge. Awesome little device and the Pi Hut website was so simple to use to order it.”
“A well designed and compact credit card sized Meshtastic/Meshcore LoRa node with internal antenna, rechargeable battery, GPS, Bluetooth and supplied with a USB charging cable.
Apparently also supports WiFi and ZigBee but as I haven't tested these I can't comment.
Ideal for anyone wanting to buy an off the shelf Meshtastic/Meshcore node as opposed to constructing from a kit.
I've had this working with Meshtastic (as pre-installed) but had less success after flashing with Meshcore (probably due to sitting in the black hole called Shropshire), it's obviously early days for Meshcore.
Pictured with the charging puck and snaphook (also available from PiHut) which I highly recommend.
Make sure to buy this version rather than the LoraWan version if you want to use Meshtastic/Meshcore.”
“The SenseCAP T1000‑E is a compact, reliable tracker ideal for outdoor person-to-person messaging and GPS tracking via Meshtastic. Its credit-card-sized form factor makes it incredibly portable, and it excels at receiving messages even in dense environments like forests or hills. GPS accuracy is impressive, locking quickly and staying consistent during hikes or outdoor adventures. While reception is strong, transmission range can be somewhat limited compared to larger nodes with bigger antennas. It is better suited as a lightweight receiver or companion device rather than a primary relay node. Overall, it's a solid choice for local mobile and reliable location tracking.”
