“Been running this for a couple of weeks now, passive cooling has been very good and honestly it's not *that* hard to figure out the pcie ribbon. As others have mentioned, a cursory look on YouTube will return a video or two of its full assembly.
Running with a crucial pro 3 1tb which works well with no problems on boot, be wary of getting any nvme ssd. There are published lists online of ones that seem to work well, and others to absolutely avoid.”
“Worked the first time.
Follow the instructions in the manual for fitting and SW config. Fan cable routing the hardest part, Coupled it with a Crucial P3 Plus 1TB M.2. OS copied from SD card, boot order changed. Boots really fast from the crucial NVme. Happy days”
“It's a really good case with a few minor flaws. The cable to the pcie could be made better and improved. The rest is perfectly well balanced and works really well. Tbh I'm impressed.”
“Case is good and straightforward to put together with the Pi5 and fit the nvme drive, unfortunately I didn't realise the case won't actually allow the installation of the PoE Hat due to the headsink part blocking installation”
“Delivered quickly, nice compact case for Pi 5 and NVMe drive. Was fiddly to put together in parts - ribbon cable on nvme base board the thing to open the socket was very hard to see, I used a you tube video to help. Screws to screw the base and middle together were too short and didn’t bind - I found a couple in the house and these were fine. I had to use internet resources to find how to change the Pi 5 to boot from the NVMe drive (a crucial 500gb p3). Boots fast from Raspberry Pi Os n the NVMe drive. Very good case. With pi 5 nice that there is a socket for the fan, leaving the full GPIO free, and also for the case that unscrewing the top gives access to the GPIO plugs. Overall very happy with the case.”
