“Bought it to use with a Raspberry 5, with OpenWRT installed. I am running it as a router and the plan was to use the WiFi Adapter as an Access Point. It does work with readily available driver, speed is great but WiFi range is limited I think due to limit on available transmit power of the Adapter, which is a shame. Unfortunately can't use it as an WiFi Access Point. Would have been 5 stars otherwise.”

I have tested under Kububtu 22.04.4 LTS
iw dev survey dump works over both bands up to channel 173
iw dev scan also works
The device can also easily put into monitor mode on both bands
Possibly a bit plasticky but a bargin for less that £20.
