“I had been using a Raspberry Pi 4 for years to run Home Assistant but after a number of issues (including out of memory errors when trying to set up ESPHome on a RP Pico) I decided to switch to a HA Geen. I set up the device and used a backup from my RP based system and everuthing went quite smoothly. The new USB names required some reconfiguring of my Zigbee dongle (my fault for not previouslu using device ID names) but otherwise everything carried over nicely.”

“Perfect - does everything I need it to do to manage my smart home. I added a Sonoff Zigbee Coordinator and an ESP32 as a Bluetooth Proxy. Super fast, local, only Nabu Casa cloud, easy to set up and simple to manage. Already have my dashboards running on some repurposed tablets and Jarvis running errands on a few M5Stack devices. Google and Alexa - Bye-Bye !”
