“Got it for my MegaPi case and I was glad that it fits inside the case quite well despite being 1mm taller the the recommended size by the case manufacturers. The screws don't fit because the holes are smaller but it sits quite snug without them anyway and it doesn't move at all. I don't find it that noisy as others below because I use it in a retro gaming setup and I don't notice any noise coming from it when I play games in recalbox.”
“First of all, the fan works well (and quite strong for its size) at 5V, but it's also a bit noisy.
To silence the fan but still get adequate cooling, I connected mine to the Pi's 3.3V pin.
I also drilled a few holes into the official Pi case, and checked that enough air was going in (and coming out).
The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5, is because the connector is just one, meaning you have to manually separate (and insulate) the wires to be able to use 3.3V on the Pi.”
