“Utterly brilliant sensor, really easy to use with Python on my Raspberry Pi and the fact that you can just connect several up in parallel is fabulous. I’m going to monitor the temperature of my hot water cylinder at four water levels and for £3.50 each I’m wishing I’d ordered a few more!”
“I'm building a hot tub controller using a Raspberry Pi Pico. I was watching Chris Barnett on Explaining computers (youtube channel) using the Picomite MMbasic system for developing the code. It supports this type of sensor out of the box so I'm giving it a go. The sensor seems robust and the wires are nicely tinned so I could plug it straight into the breadboard. It comes with a resistor to use for the circuit that is shown in the picomite manual. It's a single-wire interface requiring one pin and MMbasic ran it without any trouble. It was shockingly easy to use.”
